Start with your Diet

The first thing you need to look at when making a lifestyle change so you can lose flab is your diet.What foods do you consume?  How much are you eating?Writing down all you eat in a food diary i useful to a lot of people.You can see how much and what you are eating so you can change it if need be.  Often we forget how much we eat or what we eat and seeing it all in writing is a great reminder.

You need to be aware of how many calories you should eat per day.  It is important to eat those calories and not skimp on them.  This is one of the most common issues with dieting.It will only work briefly when you starve yourself.  This is because your body goes into starvation mode and starts storing the calories instead of burning them.

While many people do not look forward to the prospect of exercising, it is an essential component to losing flab.  But, you do not have to exercise for hours every day in order to see results.  You should, however, exercise five times per week for approximately twenty to thirty minutes each time.  During this time, you should have a goal to build muscle and burn calories. 

In order to burn calories you need to learn a key strategy on how to lose weight fast. And that is, you need to partake in aerobic exercise.  This means you need to get your heart up to its peak rate and maintain it there for a period of time.This is great for the heart and diet.  Aerobic exercise can be in the form of power walking, jogging, swimming, jazzercise or bicycling.There are many types of aerobic exercise determined by getting your heart rate up.You can do this in the comfort of your home for free. 

You also need to build muscle mass.You can increase the rate calories are burned by increasing muscle.  You will also tone the body and look and feel healthier.  You can do crunches, join a Pilates class or work out with free weights or machine weights.The faster you increae muscle, the faster you will lose flab.
